Nikita graduated from Murdoch University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism & Public Relations). Nikita also holds a Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Laws. Nikita was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in December 2009, and is also admitted to practice in the Federal Court and High Court of Australia.


Nikita joined MDC Legal in March 2014, having worked in private practice for over five years.

MDC Legal is a specialist workplace relations firm which acts for a variety of clients including professionals, executive and senior employees in the public and private sector. MDC Legal also acts for unions and select employers.

MDC Legal provides legal services in advice, auditing, reviewing, drafting, negotiation, advocacy and litigation in workplace related matters. MDC Legal also provides workplace training in a variety of employment and human resources related areas.

Nikita commenced as a Graduate Lawyer and later, as a Restricted Practitioner, with Corrs Chambers Westgarth, working in employment law and industrial relations, construction law, competition and consumer law and commercial litigation. Nikita then practiced as a lawyer, and later as an Associate, with Lynn & Brown Lawyers, for three years, mainly in the areas of employment law, civil and commercial litigation and criminal and traffic law.

Nikita has advocacy and negotiation experience in civil and commercial litigation in the District and Supreme Courts of Western Australia, in the Fair Work Commission and the Federal Circuit Court. Nikita has advised both employees and employers on State and Federal workplace laws, in unfair dismissals and general protections matters, contractual and statutory rights and obligations, the drafting and interpretation of employment contracts, redundancies, performance management and termination and discrimination. Nikita has also worked with Human Resources practitioners and business owners in the development of workplace relations strategies, policies and procedures.

Nikita is also a volunteer solicitor with the Employment Law Centre’s Night Legal Service and with the Sussex Street Community Legal Centre Night Legal Service.
