Group Photo of Women in the Profession

You are invited to join fellow women lawyers and be part of the 2015 historic group photograph of Women in the Legal Profession.

The 2015 photograph will be displayed at the Supreme Court of Western Australia, the Federal Court of Western Australia, the J S Battye Library of Western Australian History and the Law Society of Western Australia.

Copies of the photograph will be available for purchase from WLWA in due course.

Meet the Judiciary Function

WLWA invites all judicial members, women law graduates, newly admitted women legal practitioners and women lawyers to our Meet the Judiciary function to be held on 14 October 2015 at the Federal Court from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

As it is often very daunting, especially for women who have recently joined the legal profession, to appear before a Magistrate or Judge, WLWA is offering this exceptional opportunity to get to know the members of the judiciary a little better and to gain confidence in appearing before them in court. WLWA encourages female graduates and newly admitted women practitioners to take advantage of this opportunity to meet members of the judiciary in person and engage with them in a social conversation.

Drinks and canapés will be served at the function.

Please carefully check the different registration costs set out below. These prices will be displayed when you click to register here.

All members of the judiciary are admitted for free.

The cost for non-member women graduates and non-member newly admitted women practitioners is $35.

However, any women graduates and any newly admitted women practitioners who are, or become, members of Women Lawyers of Western Australia (with a 2015/2016 subscription) before the event can register for free.

Join or renew your subscription here.

WLWA Members and women LSWA Members can register for $50.

Please spread the word by forwarding the attached invitation to all female lawyers!
