This is a link to the 2012 Women’s Report Card on the standing of women in Western Australia: http://www.communities.wa.gov.au/Documents/Women/WO31%20Women's%20Report%20Card%202012_web.pdf.

It provides a good evidence base for both the government and private sectors to create and implement the multi-faceted policies, services and collaborations needed to improve women’s progress.

The first Western Australian Women’s Report Card published in 2004 provided a set of indicators to measure the status,  health and wellbeing of Western Australian women. The report card has since proven to be a useful tool for indicating where women are making progress and where policies and services can be improved.

The 2009 report card reported improvements in many aspects of women’s lives, including increased life expectancy and improved representation in leadership roles. In 2012, there is further progress to celebrate but again we are reminded of the many persistent challenges that continue to hinder women’s equality.
